It was raining; as it does with all epic encounters. And we drank it up. I’ve come to believe that life’s most memorable moments happen in the rain. The louder the thunder, faster the lighting, the better. Give me the water works, sky. Let it pour. Rain has the power of release. The taste of nostalgia. The smell alone can cause a love affair. It begs you to remember; challenges you to not only reminisce but also embrace the (rain) fall, because then, the sun. A rainy day forgives you for staying in, listening to that sad playlist and re-reading lost letters from the one that got away. It gives you the reflection you need to reach release. A sudden summer downpour gives you the courage to exclaim Love in the middle of the street. And in its simplest sense, the rain is just good damn fun to dance in. Not to mention umbrellas.
